I'm fricking tired of all these Christians who rag on gays because they think the bible tells them to. And then when you ask where they get that the bible says that, they point you to Leviticus.

So Hannah's going to give you guys a lesson in basic theology. I'll try and keep it in the simplest terms possible. Monosyllabic, 3rd grade vocabulary.
Most of the people I'm talking to take the bible literally, so that's who I'll address. I don't, but this is applicable to those who do AND those who don't.

First let's look at the fricking titles of the books in the Bible.
OLD Testament - Meaning OLD
NEW Testament - Meaning NEW

As Christians, we believe that in the Old Testament, God made a covenant with Israel. This covenant included the rules laid down in Leviticus and in the Ten Commandments.
We also believe that in the New Testament, God made a NEW covenant. That covenant was Jesus Christ.

Jesus (New Covenant) gave us some new rules. Rules that REPLACE the ones laid down in Leviticus and the 10 commandments. You are probably familiar with these new rules.

They are "Love the Lord your God with all your heart" and "Love your neighbor as yourself."

You get that? If you are a Christian, you believe that Leviticus is moot. That's not an opinion of mine, that is what Christians believe.

"What Hannah, does this mean you don't think the Ten Commandments don't count?" Nope. Not true. Notice how broad those two rules are? They encompass most of the Ten Commandments.

1. No other Gods? (That would be rule 1)
2. No graven images? (Rule 1 again)
3. Don't take the name of the Lord in vain? (Rule 1)
4. Keep the sabbath? (1 AGAIN)
5. Honor they father and mother (That's loving your neighbor)
6. Shall not kill? (see previous)
7. Adultery? (That's 2)
8. Stealing? (2 again)
9. Lying (2!)
10. Covet? (2 again baby!)

Now here's the kicker. In the two new rules, the ones that make Levitcus OBSOLETE according to the FUNDAMENTALS of Christianity, can you see any way to justify homosexuality being wrong? I sure can't.
